World Martial Arts Center COVID-19 Protocols
Our safety precautions will be taken very seriously and we expect cooperation from all staff and campers, and support from all parents or caregivers.
Hygeine and Cleanliness
- Our cleaning protocols were put in place at the start of the pandemic before the city's mandated quarantine, and we will continue to adapt these as guidance evolves. We will always meet or exceed current CDC and NY DoH guidelines.
- Mats will be cleaned twice daily.
- Training and recreational equipment such as chess and other games will be disinfected in between uses.
- Frequent and thorough hand washing will be required of staff and campers and enforced throughout the day.
- Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the facility.
- Campers and staff will be required to wear masks.
Social Distancing
- Minimize foot traffic and congestion by conducting drop off and pick up outside of the dojang, and staggering elevator use. Parents and caregivers will not be permitted into the space.
- Areas with limited space such as restrooms and changing areas will be restricted to a few students at a time.
Other Steps
- Any student who refuses to comply with instructions on any of these protocols will be asked to be picked up by the parent or guardian and not allowed to return without a refund.
- Any students with any symptoms will be asked to be picked up by their parent or guardian immediately.
- Students and staff may not attend camp within 2 weeks of having observed any symptoms, any positive COVID-19 diagnosis, or close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
- Weather permitting, students will spend time outside each day at nearby parks.
We ask for your full cooperation and support in maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment.
